1. Who We Are Booktru (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides bookkeeping and financial services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information (name, email address) provided during registration
- Financial data accessed from QuickBooks Online with your explicit authorization, including transaction records, account balances, invoices, and general ledger data
- Usage data (pages visited, actions taken within the portal)
3. How We Use Your Information We use your information solely to:
- Provide bookkeeping, financial reporting, and dashboard services
- Process invoices and payments via Stripe
- Send notifications relevant to your account
- Fulfill our contractual obligations to you as a client
4. Data Storage and Security Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access is restricted to authorized Booktru personnel only.
5. Third-Party Services We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to deliver our services:

6. Data Retention and Deletion We retain your data for the duration of our service engagement. Upon termination, you may request full deletion of your data by emailing allie@booktru.com. Requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw authorization for QuickBooks data access at any time via your QuickBooks account settings
